Complex Evolution - A new theory about human evolution and human consciousness

Complex Evolution is the first theory to combine human evolution, human consciousness, information and language. This comprehensive theory has the potential to cause a radical shift in the way people think about consciousness in humans and other animals. Complex Evolution extends genetic (simple) evolution and at the same time makes it look trivial and overrated. Complex Evolution has a strong focus on the evolution of human consciousness. The theory is confirmed beyond reasonable doubt by applying it to mental illnesses in humans.

An unusual problem has created an exciting new perspective of human evolution and human consciousness. Humans made a clean break from other species with the arrival of language. The ability to process (truly) complex information is the essential difference between humans and other species. By applying this theory, human consciousness, evolution, information, language and illnesses can be explained. Charles Darwin's theory of evolution is only a small part of a much bigger picture. Your ability to speak is coming from a complex universe. Language-related mental illnesses correspond to problems in a thinking, speaking, information-processing system spanning two universes.

Importantly, this theory bridges/fills the gap between spirituality and science with information about information.

It explains how information is managed, how it flows, how it evolves and how information processing evolves. This is also about the human brain's struggle to meet the requirements of processing complex information.

According to this theory, not only do living things evolve but consciousness, information and language also evolve and you are part of the process. You have an evolving information manager providing you with complex information and giving you the ability to think and speak in a complex language. These things are all closely integrated parts of a complex adaptive system and the human brain is a focal point. As part of this evolutionary process, the ability to share important information improves over time, accelerating the evolution of information.

This website describes the important role played by humans in the evolution of information and at the same time answers major questions about human consciousness. A significant milestone in the evolution of information will occur when the human race becomes aware of its involvement in the process. If something can happen then, given enough time, it will. Information can evolve, so it does, until eventually the time comes when the system can describe itself via the human brain. Evolution has a clear direction. As information evolves in complexity, the complex information processing human brain instantiates increasingly complex meaning until eventually the meaning is a true representation of the entire system. Eventually there will be enough meaningful information in the system to fully describe the system.

The ability of humans to communicate in a complex language is a significant step in the right direction. The ability to describe the system is another significant step. This theory describes the system. It shares information about the system, including the fact that an information manager is connected to your brain. I have named it Complex Evolution.

Unfortunately humans still have a legacy of their prehistoric brains and the transition to complexity involves mental illness, suffering and primitive thought processes and behaviour patterns. Humans are constantly sharing important information but ironically the job of sharing important information about sharing important information is extremely challenging. Incredibly, the vast majority of people simply aren't interested in knowing why they are doing what they are doing. While they are arguing about science and religion they could be discovering why they are arguing.

Complex Evolution is a theory which claims that the human brain has a task manager whose job is to create (spawn) and manage internal processes called information viruses, which in turn manage complex information. The human brain is a multitasking, information processing gateway between two universes. Your self is an information manager in a parallel universe that uses the human brain and provides us with higher consciousness, including the ability to think and communicate using a complex language. Charles Darwin's theory of evolution is transformed into a comprehensive theory of evolution that solves the mystery of human consciousness, human evolution and language.

This is an exciting, inspiring, provocative interpretation of reality based on intuition, logic, reasoning, scientific evidence and experience with a health issue. I have gained important experience from an unusual problem and I feel compelled to share the information with other people. A brain has modeled its own problem into an "objective subjective" representation of the problem - having the same properties as models created routinely by any normal human brain. A process of reflecting on that representation has produced impressive results. In fact a brain has modeled itself, its environment and evolution in order to provide an understanding of the problem - which can be successfully applied to almost everything.

This emerging theory extends the 150 year old theory of evolution to include human consciousness, evolution, language, information and much more. Importantly, it goes further than anything else to unite consciousness with evolution and science with religion. It explains relationships between mental and physical problems and it also explains how conscious processes and personality can be preserved across lifetimes. It describes reincarnation as a configuration process that takes place during early pregnancy.

This project is the most logical case so far for the existence of God, but it does not promote any particular religion nor does it contradict scientific evidence. Ongoing evolution is a basic requirement and there are no significant gaps in the fossil record. There is no need for a God to create the observable universe but this theory explores the idea that God is an incredibly complex process responsible for the creation of a parallel universe and populating it with other processes.

It focuses on human evolution, human consciousness, information, language, judgment and theoretical processes of the human brain implemented by viruses. An important principle is that the brain has the ability to manage complex processes that provide people with higher consciousness and advanced personality traits. Your brain needs help to think and communicate in an advanced language. That help is provided by a task manager and a communication process spanning two universes between fragile internal processes and a robust external process in a parallel universe. Recursive thought patterns have revealed how the human brain uses recursion to achieve conscious awareness of complex issues.

The human brain, with its ability to function as a gateway between two universes, manage complex information, think intuitively at many levels, program complex rules, diagnose its own problems and evolve towards a parallel universe is breathtakingly brilliant.

Your ability to use complex language is coming from a complex, parallel universe.

The theory claims that the human brain's language software could not have resulted from Darwinian evolution. Instead it is an advanced extension of the neural network that provides the primitive consciousness found in both humans and primitive creatures.

The neural networks responsible for primitive consciousness can be thought of as a Web browser and the language software can be thought of as an advanced plug-in. The language functions are contained inside a self (information manager) in a parallel, unobservable universe.

It relies on Darwinian evolution to bring a species to a point where their brains are capable of managing complex processes. Your brain is a complex information processor with an advanced operating system. A failure to share important information is accompanied by anxiety and suffering. The ongoing requirement to share information is defined here as a psychological problem. It is a similar dilemma to the economic problem, being a constant struggle to achieve a successful outcome using limited resources.

The self is connected to the human brain in a configuration phase during early pregnancy. If the configuration fails the pregnancy is terminated via the mechanism of anxiety, but if successful the external process provides advanced consciousness, including language skills and personality. Changes to the external process are preserved and available to the next host. Complex processes are implemented by the brain spawning/replicating long-lasting internal processes, referred to here as information viruses, when important information-sharing is required. The human brain, with its multitasking skills, provides a lifeline to the self. The brain's environment, spanning two universes, is the key to understanding qualia.

The self has the properties of a virus. It installs a prototype of the internal processes - which are also like viruses - in its own image. Each internal process is designed to collect and share a chunk of information using the help of the external process to perform complex operations. Failure to share information stimulates anxiety. An internal process can be thought of as a "complex information process" or a "language process". It is a vehicle that allows the human brain to process and share complex information. It saves a path/trail of "shareable information" readily available to conscious experience. Together they allow humans to think and speak using complex language. Internal processes can be activated and deactivated. An information-sharing "job" is allocated tasks. A task has access to resources both inside and outside the brain. When the information is shared with the intended "audience" the job is considered complete and the associated virus is deactivated. Mental illnesses not only confirm the theory but they also reveal that the processes can and do break down in every conceivable way. At death, the connection from the external process to the brain is dropped.

A self is an information manager with an ability to evolve. It provides a person with an ability to create/instantiate meaning and it learns/evolves from the meaning that is created - allowing it to be more effective in the future. Its next host can spawn smarter processes because the prototype from which they are spawned is more complex. There is a (positive) feedback loop of complexity. The evolutionary process is only limited by the limits of complexity. It is, essentially, an open-ended process. The human brain is the weakest link in this system. Structural defects or deficiencies present themselves as mental illnesses and often affect language skills - which depend on the entire system. Environmental factors will cause sharp increases in the rates of autism, ADHD and other complex information processing disorders. The human brain is adapting to the complex system through natural selection... and suffering

When you merge advanced consciousness with highly evolved, but primitive creatures, you get intelligent beings who are well suited to their environment. Half of your consciousness resides in a parallel universe and your focus switches to and from it regularly and seamlessly.

The human brain is a symbiotic gateway between two universes - the observable universe and a complex, parallel "intelligent" universe that became accessible as a result of a collision. Humans weren't the first species on earth with this remarkable ability.

Viruses have been added to genetics to produce a comprehensive, general theory of evolution, far better than anything science has managed to produce.

The theory, which started out as a search for an explanation of a medical condition, is constantly evolving and it has been confirmed beyond reasonable doubt by applying it to other medical conditions and various types of conscious experience.

As the amount of (correct) information grows at an increasing rate the world is accelerating towards an understanding of the bigger picture, including the nature of human consciousness. Humans have the desire to share information which ultimately enables them to understand that sharing information explains everything. We have been looking for meaning without even knowing that we have been playing a game with an obvious solution. Complex information processing has led to the creation of this document, which, if correct, represents an evolution of information. Information will have transformed our information about information. A milestone has been reached and information has evolved by using human brains as information processors. Information provides the human brain with meaning (through instantiation) and, if correct, this information will provide the meaning of our existence. Giving meaning will be given meaning. The system will understand the system.

This project isn't about Creation or Intelligent Design. It's about processes, systems and intelligent adaptation to a complex, parallel universe.

One person's attempt to understand a serious anxiety problem has revealed new information about evolution, consciousness, language, reincarnation and information itself. This achievement has created a window of opportunity for a greater understanding of human consciousness, human evolution and God. The greatest success of Darwinian evolution is that over time it can create creatures with an operating system that can support the high level of intelligence required for language. It is unable to produce that level of intelligence all by itself. It needs a helping hand from advanced processes. The frontal region of the human brain is a "complex information manager", or in other words a "language manager".

According to this theory, a God isn't required to create the observable universe, nor is a God responsible for human suffering. A relatively new, expanding, complex, parallel, intelligent universe exists which has extended the observable universe into one that allows intelligent human beings to exist. A collision between two universes changed the course of evolution forever. This theory examines the possibility that the parallel universe was created by God. In other words, God has intervened in the course of evolution once.

Your body and your primitive consciousness have evolved from "monkeys". Your advanced consciousness, including your language skills and advanced personality traits, has not.

Despite a genetic similarity your way of thinking is nothing like that of a monkey. According to this theory you a visitor using the best available resources: human beings.

It was always likely that a condition like epilepsy would provide important clues. Epilepsy is such a difficult condition to comprehend that any breakthrough provides an excellent platform for understanding other medical conditions. It reveals how the brain employs recursion and backtracking to find solutions - where a solution is a complex piece of information to share with others. In this case, the complex piece of information is a description of the cause of complex partial seizures. The solution just happens to incorporate consciousness, evolution and a parallel universe. They are a side-effect of a complex, recursive solution. The difference between this theory and others is that this one uncovers secrets of the human mind including higher cognitive functions. The theory can verified against mental illnesses and cognitive functions involving information processing. Each one reveals important new information about the human brain and the human mind, which can then be applied to uncover more secrets. This theory/solution/explanation isn't guaranteed to be perfect but it is so good in so many ways that cognitive scientists would be stupid to ignore it.

This isn't an attempt to convince anyone of anything. It is an attempt to accurately reveal a new, logical, unbiased perspective of our place in the universe, presented by a person who believes that he has collected important information about the inner workings of his own mind and therefore, everyone else's mind. The basic concept is quite simple. Information viruses collect useful information as complex thoughts and they punish you if you don't share that information. "Important" information isn't necessarily correct, but over time correct information is more likely to survive than incorrect information.

It's important to understand that this theory has been developed from first principles. The scientific community needs to be reminded that the greatest scientific achievements require more than just an ability to rehash existing information.
